I wasn’t particularly thrilled with our stay. We arrived, were greeted with faultless service, and were in our room resting within minutes. A little chaos or a delayed check-in would have added some much-needed excitement. The room was spotless and disturbingly quiet. I prefer a bit of noise - doors slamming, muffled conversations, maybe even the occasional argument next door. It helps me relax. Instead, I was trapped in a bubble of oppressive calm. Breakfast was served with a stunning view of the Guggenheim Museum, which was entirely too distracting. Naturally, this made it impossible to fully focus on the excellent food. The location was also far too convenient, with everything just a short walk away. I usually enjoy the challenge of navigating public transport, but here, even that simple pleasure was denied. And, to make it worse, my wife loved it. Now I have to live up to this standard every time we travel.

Our stay at this hotel was incredible. We’ve come during the off season so rates were extremely reasonable for what you get. We came in the middle of a long vacation and we’re exhausted. Access to the steam and sauna rooms at all times was very relaxing and made us ready for the rest of our trip. The proximity to the Guggenheim is un paralleled and even though we stayed in an interior room, we were very easily able to experience the grandness of the rooftop for daily breakfast and afternoon cocktails and snacks. Additionally, the location is perfect with great restaurants very near. The staff were very professional, friendly, and attentive. Our room was perfectly clean and seemed very new. The bathrooms were very clean and we loved the dual shower heads, his and her sinks, and the dual bidet and toilet combination. The concierge was extremely helpful, getting us reservations and taxis when we needed.

Very good pintxos bars nearby, also the Museum of Fine Arts. The staff at the hotel were exemplary, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was very well appointed, the bathroom was large and luxurious. The breakfast was very good, with eggs to order and very attentive service. Olio restaurant was excellent, and the cocktails served in the Bar were wonderful. Altogether a superb stay.

The only downside was that the price felt a bit high, but aside from that, everything was perfect. Above all, the hotel's location right in front of the museum is its biggest advantage. The staff were aslo very friendly and always ready to help, and the facilities were excellent.

The breakfast also served from this area was the best we had in our travels throughout Spain and Portugal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, from the concierge who assisted with our check in, the bar staff and the staff that assisted us to navigate a May Day rally outside the hotel as we were trying to catch a taxi to the airport.
